Background
Qcom was founded 30 years ago as a manufacturer of electronic communications equipment.
After expanding into IT solutions and personal computers, including computer training and operating as a reseller, the company’s focus was gradually switched to the provision of technical support.
Qcom now provides multi-technology outsourced technical functions and consultancy to businesses across the UK and Europe.

Neil Anderson
Neil has been involved with Qcom since school, joining full-time in 1985 after graduating from Cambridge with a First Class honours degree in geography.
After a successful stint as Qcom’s general manager, he was appointed managing director, evolving and developing Qcom through his drive and vision, taking it from its early remit of reselling computers and training, to its current position as a pioneering UK operator in the field of international technical outsourcing.
Neil is married with three children. His interests including farming, mountaineering…and macro-economics!
Tony Timberlake
After graduating from Oxford University, Tony qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1966, becoming a partner in 1974. He was the firm's Managing Partner for the Midlands from 1976-1989, leaving to establish his own consultancy, dedicated to supporting and advising SMEs.
An FD with substantial experience and highly developed leadership, management and negotiation skills, Tony has specialist knowledge of restructuring, funding and re-financing.
He was a non-executive director of a Midlands based Building Society for more than 10 years and is currently Chairman of Secantor Ltd, which provides senior finance executives to the SME sector on a part-time basis.
Tony lives in Birmingham, has run the Edgbaston Wine Syndicate for 28 years and is a keen golfer.
