James Perkins – New Horizons
In

appointed business development director, James Perkins, who
joins us from Ingram Micro, the world’s largest technology
distributor, where he was UK sales director.
James
brings more than a decade of new business experience, both
internationally and across the supply chain, from manufacturing,
and distribution through to the reseller.
James
says: “I can clearly see the advantages that
outsourcing will confer to customers
over the next few years.
“Distributors,
for example, have the opportunity of using technical outsourcing
to devise superb support packages that will allow reseller
customers to move into new markets. Ensuring that you have
a servicing agreement in place adds value to the end-user,
gives you a competitive advantage, and increases margin.
“One
of my focuses will be to review our services, such as those
we offer to manufacturers,
and see if there are any other opportunities for us to add
value to our customers’ product offering. For resellers,
outsourcing can offer rapid expansion opportunities,
particularly for large operations wanting to expand into
niche markets.

is on improved channel management and support -
we don’t
sell product and we don’t sell to end-user.
“The
