Whether reworking, replacing, upgrading or installing equipment, Qcom’s Technical Resource Centre (TRC) provides a complete outsourced solution.
These technical services, which are confidential and can be branded to the manufacturer’s requirements, include all logistics, customer liaison, administration and project management where necessary.
Projects can include manufacturer reworks, volume onsite repairs or upgrades, volume workshop repairs, aftermarket repairs, option fitting to equipment, stock and equipment logistics, hardware roll outs or reconfiguration or upgrading of existing equipment. Turnaround times range from 24 hours to several months.
Case Study - Qcom reworked several hundred hand-held devices in 10 days. The project, outsourced by the manufacturer, involved reflashing the EPROM and upgrading hardware, but as well as the engineering know-how, Qcom also supplied all logistics, customer liaison, admin and project management.
Case Study - Over an 18-month period, we upgraded 2,500 battery packs for a manufacturer in batches of approximately 150. The upgrade included component level and mechanical part replacement, and the logistics involved shipment from several European countries to Qcom’s Technical Resource Centre in Droitwich, Worcestershire.
Case Study - Defective components were replaced on 35 thermal printers for one manufacturer in just 24 hours. The work was outsourced by the manufacturer, and Qcom supplied engineering, logistics and project management. |
