RMA Workshop Support

Workshop - Non-Contract Repairs

To complement our field based technical support and maintenance offering, Qcom provides a full suite of workshop repairs. Ideally suited to non-mission-critical equipment, low end or mobile devices, this service can be both cost-effective and rapid.

Fixed Price Repair

Calls can be purchased on a one-off basis, on a pay-as-you-go system or under a pre-pay arrangement for a guaranteed service level and reduced pricing. Includes return carriage and all parts and labour for a fix but excludes the logic board and consumable items (which will be subject to a surcharge). Units are returned to our workshop using an RMA form and are assessed within 72 hours of receipt. Parts are fitted from stock or back ordered from the manufacturer. Repair turnarounds are subject to parts availability and are not guaranteed. Calls can be purchased on a one-off, pay-as-you-go basis or on a pre-paid basis, which will take priority and attract a price discount.

All repairs are subject to a 90 day warranty on repairs and the manufacturer’s warranty on parts and print heads fitted (subject to adherence to manufacturer’s terms of usage and consumables).

Workshop Time and Materials

For older, discontinued equipment, an hourly rate plus part quotation process will apply. An inspection fee also applies, depending on carriage method.

Manufacturer Warranty Repair

A full warranty repair service is available for many manufacturers, please call for more information.

Upgrades and Rework/Options Fitting

A specific quotation is available on request for volume based project work.

Board Repairs

Available for many common logic boards and power supply units. These component level repairs provide a cost effective alternative to purchasing a new board.

Loan Equipment Rental

A number of thermal transfer printers are available from stock for loan.

Warranty Services

When partnering with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Qcom provides service propositions to manage warranty repairs in the workshop.

Calls are normally logged via the Qcom Helpdesk either by telephone or email.

Under such arrangements users can contact Qcom to arrange the repair of equipment under the manufacturers standard warranty terms, thus usually ‘free of charge’ to the end user.

Qcom works with many OEM’s to provide such outsourced warranty services, please contact the

Qcom Sales Team for further information on which OEM’s we represent.
